Robert Frank was an America born Switzerland . He came to america and that is when his photography really started. This is because he was in a new country and the style of the times was very intriguing. While all of this photography was happening he was still adjusting to his new home in America.
Robert Franks style is mostly in the moment photography. He takes pictures of events happening then and there. But at the same time he takes still lifes which have less to do with his style and more with his own felling of photography. His style also seems to convey a sense of the time by photographing events and people that portray the era.
Robert Franks reasons for most of his photos was that they showed the time period, that they explained the overall mood and feeling of a generation. This is very obvious in most of his photos were he is taking pictures of people doing just life in the era. This is even more proven because it is now a fact that he is more of a historical photographer.
Robert Frank has influenced me in my work because the type of photos he take is the same type that I really enjoy because historical photography just has an awesome depth that other types of photography can't seem to reach just yet. I think this is because when you are capturing history in a photo it is literally freezing time.
This photo was taken by me during my vacation. The reason I took it s because i love the expressions, the lighting, the overall photo really calls to me.Of course there are some noticeable differences such as the type of car and people but I worked with the most available things in my situation and created this photo.
A bustling city
A leisurely strole
This photo was taken using my family and they are really supportive of my photography. The differences in these 2 photos is the amount of people and that it is only one gender. But besides that this is pretty close to the original.
A workers ride
On the roll
This photo was taken with my aunt and my grandmother. The differences between these 2 photos is that one all all boys and 1 is all girls this really shows my photography skills and really just shows my skill and passion for old school photography in a modern day setting.
